Ginza Project Restaurant Holding will open at the Danilovsky Market a culinary school for Jamie Oliver, the chef and leading UK-famous television show Naked Cook. This was reported by the newspaper Kommersant.
According to the publication, part of the balcony with an area of 500 square meters along the market dome will be allocated for this project. It is assumed that Ginza will equip the premises at its own expense, and Oliver will provide its own brand, but the final terms of cooperation have not yet been approved.
Experts estimate the investment in opening a cooking school at about 150-300 thousand rubles per job. At the same time, the associated repair costs will amount to another 16-26 thousand rubles per square meter, that is, from 8 to 13 million may be needed for the entire room.
Since 2012, Ginza has been working with Jamie Oliver on another project - the Jamie's Italian restaurant chain. So far, only two restaurants have been launched - in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
At the beginning of 2015, the Ginza Project bought the Danilovsky market from the Moscow City Hall. He cost the holding 425 million rubles. The company must invest another 800 million in its reconstruction. If the relevant agreements are not fulfilled, the mayor's office will be able to request the object back.
Not so long ago it became known that the Stay Hungry team of street food festivals will help redo the market. According to the plan, the market will develop in six areas, called “Neighbors”, “Family”, “Farming”, “Startups”, “Culture” and “Charity”.
