A week later, on June 25, the LavkaLavka Festival of Young Vegetables will begin in Moscow - special restaurants with seasonal farm vegetables will appear in the restaurants. The festival will end on July 7 and 8 with a street holiday - several restaurants participating in the festival and the farmers themselves will come to the Museon park with their goods: cucumbers, corn, tomatoes, green beans, cauliflower, beets, arugula, herbs, onions, young potatoes, coriander, celery, mint, thyme, carrots, turnips, garlic, green peas, zucchini and other vegetables and herbs.
This spring, the farmer’s cooperative already hosted two such events - Farm Bird Week and Local Fish Week. This time, “Shop” again does everything possible to make friends with farmers and restaurateurs, but makes even more efforts. In addition to special menus, which during the festival will be hosted by institutions participating in the undertaking, a two-day festival with visiting cafes of these restaurants and a farmers' market, where all manufacturers will come, will be held in the Museon park (near the Central House of Artists). Including in the park these days there will be a van with street food "Gifts of Nature" - the brainchild of the gastronomic alliance LavkaLavka and restaurant Delicatessen.
In addition to food, the program of the two-day festival includes performances by the orchestra and DJs, a traditional small zoo, free alcohol (organized by Gray Goose) and an entertainment program for children, which is responsible for the children's center of restaurateurs Mity Borisov and Dmitry Yampolsky - "Shardam".
Life around, in turn, with the help of farmers and chefs of Moscow restaurants in a special series of materials will try to figure out what is better to cook from local seasonal vegetables when they ripen in our latitudes, and how to choose the freshest and most delicious ones.
